The 'G-Metrix' project was a collaboration between myself and Peter Coyle and was recorded in stages over an 18 month period starting in1993! We needed to make music, music with no rules, and most importantly music which was different from what we had been doing individually at that time. We needed a change, we needed to be free. G-Metrix was born out of that need.
Peter Coyle: "We would meet at the studio with no pre-conceived ideas or recordings and would simply wait for the music to come from the silence, from the blank screen on the computer and the coming together of minds. We originally completed two albums worth of material and an organic spin-off project album under the name of 'Pure Journey'. This album and subsequent label interests in other personal projects took us in a direction that moved away from G-Metrix and we have never returned."
