1998 – Another sample jam, this time featuring some samples from Bell & James self-titled 1978 album. I had written a chorus for this track but no verses, so when Gina & Jenessa were visiting one weekend we got together in the studio with Denise and David and jointly wrote and recorded a couple of verses. I played the idea to VC/Virgin, who were really into it and provided me with an American rapper. (Shamefully, I cannot remember his name! Please get in touch if you read this). He came up to my studio in Liverpool, where we recorded and mixed the track. It was never released however, and remains a 'studio jam' to this day. Sadly, this was the last track I recorded under the name Elate, and Denise, David and I went our separate ways. I really needed a break from music after all these years and didn't write or record anything for quite sometime. I did, however, keep in touch with Gina and Jenessa, who feature on the debut Deklectic track 'Nothing Competes With My Music'.
